Yesterday as we were watching conference Ty went upstairs. Now he goes upstairs all the time. Nothing unusual. I called him and he didn't answer. Carson went to see what he was doing. As fast as he could run back, he reported that Ty was cutting his hair. OH NO!!!!! We RAN upstairs. IT was horrible. His beautiful blond hair now had a big chunk out of the front and to the scalp. Then there were various other cuts throughout the rest of his hair. It looked so funny. He also knew he was in BIG trouble. He's been warned before : NO ONE EXCEPT MOMMY cuts hair.
Of course he cried as he was confronted. So needless to say...Out came the scissors and clippers and OFF came his hair. It was a sad day in the short life of Ty. Now he looks soooo different. We are still having a tough time recognizing him. It has changed his whole look. I'm glad that his hair grows pretty fast. Hopefully it will have grown all back by Christmas.
WHO IS THAT KID? LOL

I see from the 2nd picture that Ty bounced back pretty quickly and seems to be modeling his new self styled look. Don't all kids cut their own hair about this age?
mine cut her hair about 6 months ago too, so she was two then. Right on top and to the scalp. It blends in okay most of the time though. At least with a boy when you have to cut it way back short to make it blend in they still look normal. Doing that to a girl doesn't work as well. :-)
I love his new hair cut!!!! Of course I am a fan of short short short (almost bald) cuts on guys. If we ever come to visit I'll make sure Mike brings the clippers for the rest of the boys! Ha! Before Jacob was even 1, Mike had already shaved my boys head three times.
